Medical & personal care power solutions

Monitors, therapy devices and personal-care appliances are held to a higher bar: the supply is part of the safety story, and the paperwork matters as much as the hardware.

What this application asks of a supply

The requirements a buyer in this sector compares before a quote.

Device class
The applicable standard follows the device’s classification — agreed per project, not assumed from the product family.
Leakage and isolation
Patient-contact and home-healthcare applications change the isolation requirement; it is written into the specification before tooling.
Acoustic and thermal
Fanless, convection-cooled designs where the device sits beside a patient or in a treatment room.
Records
Traceable test files and inspection reports for the technical file your notified body will ask for.

How we plan compliance

How the compliance plan is scoped for this sector.

  • Standards planning for your market, from electromagnetic limits to device safety requirements (for example IEC 60601 for medical devices) — scope agreed per project.
  • Traceable test records and pre-shipment inspection reports for your compliance file.
  • Enclosure finish, rating plates and packaging matched to how the device is positioned.

Questions buyers ask first

The three questions that come up before a project starts.

Can you supply an external power supply for a medical device?

We build the supply to the specification your device requires. The standard that applies — and whether the supply is certified as part of the device or separately — is fixed with your regulatory team before the design is frozen. Nothing here is presented as a certification the supply already holds.

Do you manufacture the device itself?

No. We make the power supply, the cord set and the packaging around it. Device-level design, clinical evaluation and your notified-body submission stay with you.

What does compliance planning actually produce?

A written list of the standards and tests the supply must meet for the target markets, the test evidence we can supply, and the items your side has to run. It is a planning document, not a certificate.

Tell us the device class and the markets you sell into in your project brief; the certification scope is agreed per project, and our certifications page shows what is already documented.
